Friday

Tea Party

It was such a beautiful sunny day today
(a balmy 5 degrees)...
...and Jemma decided it was a perfect day
for a picnic tea party.

Wednesday

Happy 3rd Birthday

We started the day opening birthday cards.
Look at the smile!!"It's my hundred bucks!!!"
Showing the haul.
Thank-you everyone
for a great Day!!
Our "Mom's group"
surprised Jemma with a cake......then our friend Meta came over with a huge bag of gifts.
(Yes, that is Jemma crawling in
to reach the smarties at the bottom.)...
...some cuddle time with
Daddy when he came home from work.

Then after dinner we had Birthday Brownies...YUMMMM.Thank-you everyone for making this such a special day for
Jemma!!!

Sunday

Sleep-over

Jemma had her first sleep-over the other night.
This is a photo of the girls sound asleep
after an evening of fun and laughter. Then the next day;I found her on the floor of her room, half on/half off her bed.
It looks like she was doing a puzzle and then just "fell" asleep !
(Of course tightly clutching her Ladybug.)

Kuaizi

Jemma received these chopsticks from our friends...
(kuaizi)
and has become quite the pro when handling them!

The best Christmas gift

Judging from the smile on her face...

I think she totally loves her new ladybug umbrella.

The great snowfall of 2008

The snowbanks we made to get to the car.
Jemma trying to dig her way off the deck...
...ok, maybe I'll try the stairs...
"help, I can't get up!"

Welcome Winter 2008!!

Look at those snowbanks!!
all being dug up by Momma, so...when Daddy came home from work,
he took Jemma to the park!
Jemma trying out the slide...
...Daddy keeping a close eye, and a quick reflex...
...what a fast slip down!!
Wow.....so much snow it's up to Jemma's waist!!!Here is a more realistic photo with
just a few inches of snow here on the bench.
What fun!!
(this photo was taken at 4:45pm,
and the snow hasn't stopped falling yet!!)

Wednesday

Yaaaayyy, more snow......let's go play...

Jemma really wanted to make snow angels
but didn't like the snow getting in her eyes.

Monday

Enjoying the view of the snow topped mountains
on a crisp, sunny afternoon
at Queen Elizabeth Park.
It must be love!!!
So.....we were at our church's candlelight service,
and halfway through the service there is this HUGE bang,
followed by LOUD screaming!!!!
All the racket was NOT part of the program
but of Jemma falling off the church pew,
resulting in an uncomfortable evening of pain,
which led to a 2 1/2 hour visit to the ER
with even LOUDER screaming while the Dr. checked her shoulder.
The end result:
cuddles with her Daddy (which eased his feeling of guilt)
and a bruised neck/shoulder area.

Sunday

SNOW

Our token snow on stairs photoJemma "makin' tracks" in the backyard...
...with no snow left to trample
it's snowball time!!!

First Haircut

Going...
...going...

...GONE!!
While visiting Opa & Oma
Momma finally let Jemma have her 1st haircut!!
Oma cut off over 6inches of hair (baby hair, that is).
Jemma helping out during coffee social at church.

A lovely afternoon stroll with "Dolly".With our tummies full of Dim Sum,
Uncle Chris, Goo-Goo and Jemma
have some fun tickling "Dolly".

Sunday

Jemma finally caught a cat at the farm....
"...say Hi Socks!"
